It happened. Yesterday, NFL star Russell Wilson got down on one knee and proposed to his longtime love Grammy-Award winning singer Ciara - while the couple vacationed on the Seychilles islands.



Russell presented Ciara with a 5 Carat flawless diamond ring, which we're told is valued at $6 MILLION. We're told it's one of the LARGEST perfectly flawless diamonds sold in the world this year. It's all about QUALITY over size ladies.

And it's NOT a long engagement, we're told. Ciara and Russell plan on jumping the broom THIS SUMMER - before her returns to football training camp.

Russell has been married once before to his high school sweetheart.

Ciara, 30, has released six studio albums -- five of which hit the top 10 on the U.S. R&B charts. She has been nominated for five Grammys, winning one for best short-form video. She has one son with her former fiance, rapper Future.
