American Military Veterans of Igbo Descent Demand Release of Nnamdi Kanu at US State Department

 

Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, a delegation from the American Military Veterans of Igbo Descent visited the U.S. State Department to urge the Nigerian government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). This visit marks a significant step in the international campaign advocating for Kanu's freedom and highlighting the human rights concerns associated with his detention.

The veterans, representing the Igbo community in the United States, presented their case to State Department officials, emphasizing the Nigerian judiciary's failure to adhere to rulings from competent courts, international courts, and opinions from the United Nations that support Kanu's release.
