Napoli's new coach, Antonio Conte, has confirmed that Victor Osimhen is keen on departing the club this summer.
Speaking alongside Napoli's president Aurelio De Laurentiis at a summit this week, Conte acknowledged that there is an existing agreement between the club and Osimhen regarding his departure.
"I'm aware of his situation, and I know there's an agreement with the club, so it's a unique case compared to others," Conte stated. "There's a mutual understanding between Victor and Napoli about his future, and I've accepted that."
Speculation surrounding Osimhen's departure from the Italian club has persisted for months, and it has now been officially confirmed that he will be moving to a new team.
Osimhen, known for his prolific scoring ability, has netted 76 goals in 133 appearances across all competitions for Napoli, establishing himself as one of the top strikers in global football. The 25-year-old was instrumental in Napoli's Serie A title triumph in 2022-23 and was honored as Africa's Footballer of the Year last year.
Paris Saint-Germain leads the race to secure the Nigerian international, although Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have also shown interest in signing the talented striker.
