Bank Employee Killed by Suspected Cultists in Benin City


 A staff member of a new generation bank, known as Mr. Nosa, was reportedly killed by suspected cultists in Benin City, Edo State.

The incident occurred last Thursday after work hours in the Government Reservation Area (GRA) of Benin City.

According to sources, the deceased received a call at his office from a friend who invited him to a hangout. On his way to the meeting, he was ambushed by assailants who opened fire on him.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Chidi Nwabuzor, the Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police Command, confirmed the incident. "Yes, the Command confirmed it; it is an unfortunate incident. But as I speak, the matter is under investigation," Nwabuzor stated.

He assured that efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators to justice.
