Billionaire Frank Stronach Charged with Sexual Assault in Canada

Canadian authorities have charged Austrian-Canadian auto parts billionaire Frank Stronach with multiple counts of sexual assault, with incidents reportedly spanning from the 1980s to as recent as 2023.

Peel Regional Police announced on Friday that the 91-year-old Stronach faces five charges, including rape, indecent assault on a female, sexual assault, and forcible confinement. Stronach was arrested and has been released on conditions pending a future court appearance in Brampton, Ontario.

Constable Tyler Bell confirmed the involvement of multiple victims but did not specify the exact number, citing the need to protect the victims. "This is a high-profile case," Bell stated. "Our special victims unit is bound to protect the victims and in doing so, that’s why we’re being vague."

Authorities are urging anyone with information or who may have been a victim to come forward. Stronach's lawyer has not responded to requests for comment.

Frank Stronach, founder of Magna International, a leading auto parts manufacturer, has also invested heavily in horse racing and has been honored with the Order of Canada, one of the nation's highest distinctions.
