Davido Seeks Joint Custody of Daughter in Legal Battle with Sophia Momodu

Popular Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has initiated legal proceedings against Sophia Momodu at the Lagos State High Court concerning the custody of their daughter, Aurora Imade Adeleke.

In a lawsuit marked LD/1587PMC/2024 and filed on April 17, 2024, Davido, listed as the applicant, has cited Sophia Momodu as the sole respondent.

Davido's petition to the court seeks an order granting joint custody of Imade and ensuring him unrestricted access to her.

Despite the end of his relationship with Momodu, the musician emphasizes his continued financial support for their daughter, covering expenses such as school fees and accommodation rent.

However, Davido accuses Momodu of making unreasonable demands, including rejecting a N200 million apartment provided by him and insisting on a yearly payment of N5 million for their daughter's accommodation.

Additionally, Davido alleges Momodu's refusal to communicate vehicle issues, resulting in his provision of alternative vehicles and funds for repairs.

Despite his efforts to ensure their daughter's welfare, Davido claims that Momodu's demands persist, causing him undue stress and frustration.

Seeking the court's intervention, Davido requests joint custody of their daughter to safeguard her interests amidst the ongoing legal dispute.
