"President Arce Condemns Military Incursion, Stresses Democracy Amid Government Palace Incident in Bolivia

Bolivian President Luis Arce emphasized the importance of upholding democracy following an incident where troops stormed Bolivia’s government palace in what appeared to be a coup attempt on Wednesday.

Troops, accompanied by armored vehicles, forcibly entered Bolivia’s government palace on Wednesday, causing a stir. In response to this development, Arce took to his social media account to condemn what he described as the unauthorized mobilization of certain units of the Bolivian Army.

"We denounce the irregular mobilization of some units of the Bolivia Army. Democracy must be respected," Arce stated in his tweet.

Reports from Bolivia indicated the presence of two tanks and several individuals in military attire outside the government palace, as broadcasted on Bolivian television. Additionally, former Bolivian President Evo Morales voiced his disapproval of the military movement in Murillo square near the palace, characterizing it as a potential coup in progress.
