Two individuals, aged 24 and 28, have been apprehended in connection with a tragic shooting incident at a barber shop in Khayelitsha, South Africa. The assailants unleashed gunfire on Qwarha Street in Site C, resulting in the deaths of three children and a 30-year-old man on Saturday afternoon. The children, aged 12, 11, and five, fell victim to the senseless violence, while two other individuals escaped unharmed.
According to Brigadier Novela Potelwa, a police spokesperson, the suspects are now facing charges of murder and attempted murder. They are scheduled to appear in the Khayelitsha magistrate’s court on Friday, June 14. Potelwa emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, and there remains a possibility of additional arrests and charges.
Additionally, the Western Cape serious violent crime detectives are probing another tragic shooting incident involving multiple murders in Nyanga on Sunday. However, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident yet.
