VIDEO: Enugu Community Entrusts New Hospital to Deity After Thefts

Ogurute Ulo community in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State has entrusted a newly built general hospital to a deity for protection.

The community resorted to this measure after several pieces of equipment, including an ambulance, TV sets, and solar panels, were reported stolen from the hospital.

In a video, a representative of the community expressed frustration over the thefts. He explained, "We, the people of Ogurute Ulo community, are gathered here today because the government built this General Hospital for us and provided equipment such as a solar battery, an ambulance, and TV sets to care for the sick. Unfortunately, these items have gone missing within a short time, which has caused us great distress."

He further stated, "We have decided to hand over this General Hospital to the local deities. Any man or woman who is unhappy about this hospital and has been involved in the thefts, let the deities deal with them accordingly."
