On Sunday, June 30, 2024, a severe storm hit Dezhou, Shandong, causing intense winds that toppled advertisements and vehicles.
During the storm, a mother and her child were knocked down by the powerful gusts near a shopping mall.
In a heroic act, 59-year-old security guard Wang Chuanfeng and another passerby braved the storm to rescue the pair, bringing them to safety.
Following the incident, the shopping mall management awarded Mr. Wang a 500 Chinese yuan reward and an honorary certificate.
