American rapper Snoop Dogg is set to carry the torch at the Paris Olympics, marking a significant role in the prestigious event. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, July 26, and will see over 10,000 athletes gathering on boats along the Seine River.
Snoop Dogg, born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., will run with the torch through the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, as confirmed by the local mayor on X. He will be joined in this ceremonial role by French actress Laetitia Casta and French rapper MC Solaar.
Expressing his excitement, Snoop Dogg shared, "I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It's a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness."
