The Abia State government has announced that all land allocations for Phase 1 and 2 of Valley View Estate in Umuahia North Local Government Area have been voided. The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Chaka Chukwumerije, in a press release issued to journalists.
According to Commissioner Chukwumerije, the decision to invalidate the allocations was due to the allottees' failure to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in their offers. He emphasized that the land allocation offers had expired and were thus no longer valid.
In addition, the Ministry of Lands and Housing has suspended all new land allocations for project sites at Nkpa in Bende LGA and Umuopara in Umuahia South LGA. This suspension will remain in effect until these projects are fully and properly regularized.
“All transactions related to these allocations are put on hold until further notice,” the Commissioner stated. “We urge all affected parties to comply with this directive and await further updates.”
This move is part of ongoing efforts by the state government to ensure compliance and proper management of land resources.
