PDP Sweeps All 20 Local Government Areas in Bauchi State Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has achieved a clean sweep in the recent local government elections, securing victory in all 20 local government areas of Bauchi State. The results were announced on Saturday night by Alhaji Ahmed Makama, the Executive Chairman of the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC).

Prior to the election, the main opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), had raised concerns about potential manipulation of the results by the ruling PDP and BASIEC. It is anticipated that the APC will contest the results.

The newly elected chairmen and their deputies are scheduled to be sworn in on Sunday, August 18. Below is the full list of winners:

5. Darazo LGA:
