Diddy Removed from Suicide Watch After Arrest for Serious Charges

Disgraced American rapper and music executive Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, has reportedly been taken off suicide watch in prison. Diddy was placed on the watch following his arrest on September 16, by Homeland Security on charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution.

According to a report from People on September 29, a law enforcement source confirmed that the rapper is no longer on suicide watch. Another source mentioned that Diddy has been able to visit with family while being held in custody ahead of his court appearance, scheduled for early October.

Diddy’s lawyer told People that the rapper is "focused and strong," as he concentrates on his defense and prepares for the upcoming trial.

Earlier in March, federal officers raided Diddy’s Beverly Hills mansion, seizing various items allegedly intended for use in controversial parties known as “freak offs.” These items included drugs and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil. Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, claimed that the bulk purchase of baby oil was made at Costco, though the retailer denied this.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges, but his requests for bail have been denied twice.
