World's 'Most Monstrous Bodybuilder' Illia Yefimchyk Dies at 36

Illia Yefimchyk, a Belarusian bodybuilder known for his massive size and extreme diet, has passed away at the age of 36. His death, which occurred last week, was confirmed on Wednesday by the Instagram account @whoisthebestbb.

Yefimchyk, who went by the nickname "Golem" and was called "The Mutant" in the bodybuilding community, maintained an astonishing physique with 25-inch biceps. He followed a high-calorie "mass monster" diet, consuming up to 16,500 calories daily. His routine reportedly included seven meals a day, which featured over five pounds of steak and more than 100 pieces of sushi.

Although he didn’t compete professionally, Yefimchyk shared his intense workouts with over 100,000 followers online. He claimed to be able to bench press 600 pounds, deadlift 700 pounds, and squat another 700 pounds.

Tragically, Yefimchyk suffered a heart attack at home on September 6 and fell into a coma. His wife, Anna, performed chest compressions as they waited for emergency services. Despite a brief moment of hope when his heart started beating again, doctors later informed Anna that he had suffered irreversible brain damage.

In a statement to local media, Anna expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support, saying, "I thank everyone for their condolences. It’s very heartwarming to realize that I am not left alone in this world, and so many people have offered me help and support."

Yefimchyk, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 340 pounds, was admired for his extraordinary physique, but his passing highlights the physical risks associated with extreme bodybuilding practices.
