Kylian Mbappe Accused of Rape and Sexual Harassment in Swedish Hotel

Real Madrid and French football star Kylian Mbappe has been accused of rape and sexual harassment during a stay at a hotel in Sweden, just days after dismissing similar reports as "fake news."

Swedish newspaper Expressen has reported that Mbappe is under investigation following allegations related to an incident at the Bank Hotel in central Stockholm. The alleged assault is said to have occurred on Thursday night, while Mbappe was in the country with friends.

Mbappe, who traveled to Sweden last Wednesday and departed on Friday, had earlier visited the Chez Jolie restaurant and later the V nightclub before returning to his hotel in a black van with his entourage. The footballer had previously posted on social media, calling reports of an alleged rape at the hotel "fake news," noting the timing of the allegations as "predictable."

According to Expressen, a police report was filed two days after the alleged incident, and Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet confirms that authorities are investigating the case. Investigators, along with a forensic team, have visited the crime scene, while the alleged victim sought medical attention at a local hospital, raising the alarm.

Mbappe left Sweden on a private jet from Bromma airport on Friday, but no suspects have officially been named in the ongoing investigation. The prosecutor overseeing the case declined to provide details, and Stockholm police have also withheld further comments on the matter.
