Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Hezbollah of launching a drone toward his home in Caesarea, central Israel, on Saturday, October 19. The Israeli military confirmed that the drone was launched from Lebanon, targeting Netanyahu’s residence. Fortunately, neither Netanyahu nor his wife were at home during the attempted attack, and no injuries were reported.
Netanyahu strongly condemned the attack, attributing it to Hezbollah, whom he referred to as "agents of Iran." He warned that those responsible for the attack would "pay a heavy price." As of the latest reports, Hezbollah has not claimed responsibility for the incident.
In a defiant statement, Netanyahu declared that the attack would not deter Israel from its ongoing military operations. He referenced the recent killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, stating, "We eliminated the master murderer Yahya Sinwar... We are in the war of resurrection and continue forward until the end."
Despite rising tensions, Netanyahu expressed pride in Israel’s military and reaffirmed the country's commitment to ensuring long-term security. When asked if any threats would stop him, he firmly responded, "No, nothing will deter us. We continue until victory."
The incident comes amid ongoing conflict between Israel and militant groups in the region. U.S. officials, including White House national security communications adviser John Kirby, have suggested that Sinwar’s death may present a pivotal moment in the efforts to de-escalate the Gaza conflict.
