A Nigerian man has expressed his admiration for China following a notable experience on his first day in the country. The traveler recounted how he arrived at a Chinese airport and, after leaving, took a taxi that turned out to be an "illegal" one. Unfortunately, he was overcharged for the ride.
Upon reaching his hotel, he mentioned the fare he had paid to the taxi driver, prompting the hotel staff to take immediate action by calling the police. Initially apprehensive due to various preconceived notions about China, the man was surprised by the swift response from law enforcement.
When the police arrived, they traced the taxi driver and successfully recovered about 80% of the overcharged fare. The traveler was struck by the attention the police gave to what he considered a trivial complaint. He stated, “I don’t think I’ve been to any other country where the police will give an ear to complaints about being ripped off by a taxi driver.”
Reflecting on his experience, he shared a photo of himself in China and rated the country a perfect 100, while giving the rest of the world a score of zero. He wrote about the incident on social media, highlighting how the hotel staff's concern and the police's swift action made him feel safe and reassured.
He concluded his post by praising China's responsiveness and efficiency, noting that his experience has left a lasting positive impression.
