VIDEO: Nigerian Police Clash with Youth Protesters Demanding Action on Cost of Living Crisis

On Tuesday, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force deployed teargas to disperse youth protesters in Nigeria who were demonstrating against the rising cost of living in the country.

According to reports, the protesters gathered near the well-known Berger roundabout around 7 AM, intending to march towards Eagles Square. However, police intervened with force to break up the gathering.

The protesters are demanding that President Bola Tinubu’s administration take immediate action to address the widespread hunger and other economic crises affecting the nation. In response to the growing discontent, President Tinubu, during a nationwide broadcast to commemorate the Independence Day anniversary, assured Nigerians that his government is implementing various measures aimed at reducing the cost of living.
