Former Real Madrid defender Vinicius Tobias, now with Shakhtar Donetsk, has found himself in a complex personal situation after discovering he is not the biological father of his newborn daughter, Maite.
The 20-year-old Brazilian right-back and his ex-girlfriend, Ingrid Lima, welcomed Maite on October 8, 2024. To celebrate her arrival, Tobias had the phrase “Maite, I love you” tattooed on his arm.
However, in a recent revelation, influencer Ingrid disclosed that their relationship was tumultuous around the time of Maite's conception. She confirmed that a DNA test indicated Tobias is not the child's biological father.
In a social media statement, Ingrid explained, “I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out publicly to give you an explanation. Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone, and so was he. We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.”
Ingrid urged the public to stop attacking Tobias, stating it was her request that he refrain from attending the birth or sharing information about Maite until the DNA results were confirmed. She added that they had reached an amicable understanding regarding the situation.
Earlier this year, Tobias had a brief loan stint with Real Madrid, making only one appearance for the senior team before returning to Shakhtar Donetsk. As of now, Tobias has not publicly commented on the DNA test results.
