Trial of Binance Executive Tigran Gambaryan Delayed Due to Illness

The trial of Tigran Gambaryan, a detained executive of Binance, was postponed today, October 18, due to his absence from court.

A representative from the Correctional Center informed the court that Gambaryan was unwell and could not be brought to the proceedings.

Justice Emeka Nwite had previously scheduled today's session to continue the trial concerning money laundering charges against Binance Ltd. and its country representative, Gambaryan, brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

During the hearing, all attorneys representing both parties were present except for Gambaryan. When questioned by the judge, the lawyers expressed their surprise at Gambaryan's absence. His defense counsel requested an adjournment due to his client’s health issues.

Consequently, Justice Nwite adjourned the trial until October 25, when an update on Gambaryan's health will be provided.
