British heavyweight boxing champion Daniel Dubois will defend his IBF world title against New Zealand’s Joseph Parker in a highly anticipated match set for February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Dubois, 27, will return to the ring in Riyadh after successfully defending his IBF title against former champion Anthony Joshua. In a stunning performance at Wembley Stadium in September, Dubois knocked out Joshua in just five rounds, a victory that solidified his position as one of the top heavyweights in the world. Despite speculation of a rematch with Joshua, the fight will not take place as AJ's camp has declined the offer.
Parker, 32, previously held the WBO title from 2016 to 2018 before suffering a unanimous points loss to Joshua. The former WBO champion, known for his resilience, caused an upset last year by defeating former WBC champion Deontay Wilder. He also triumphed over Zhilei Zhang in March to secure the WBO interim title, making him a formidable challenger for Dubois.
