Kendall Jenner is sharing rare insight into her bond with her dad, Caitlyn Jenner.
On the Oct. 30 episode of The Kardashians, the 29-year-old supermodel appeared alongside Caitlyn, 76, during a family gathering that turned into an emotional reflection on family and connection. As the group discussed the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires, Caitlyn insisted that her Malibu home was safe — even revealing plans to stay behind and fight the flames herself.
In a candid confessional, Kendall reflected on how she navigates her relationship with Caitlyn.
“I have to compartmentalize my relationship with my Dad in a way because I love her,” Kendall said. “She’s my dad. We have a good relationship. But sometimes I get frustrated with her with certain things because we just have completely different views on things.”
Despite those differences, Kendall made it clear that her love and sense of responsibility toward Caitlyn remain strong.
“Other than that, I always want to include her,” she added. “I know she doesn’t have a lot outside of her family and I think that she gets lonely. You don’t ever want someone to be sad, especially your dad and someone you love and care about.”
Caitlyn, who has been outspoken about her conservative political beliefs and even ran for California governor in 2021, has often been a lightning rod within the family — especially when politics collide with personal life. While Kendall didn’t mention politics directly, the episode subtly highlighted the emotional balance she maintains in her relationship with Caitlyn.
The moment also marked Caitlyn’s first appearance on The Kardashians since the show’s move to Hulu. Though she was a fixture on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, she’s largely stayed out of the spotlight in recent years.
In a touching gesture, Kris Jenner, 69, invited Caitlyn to join the family for a final dinner at their iconic Hidden Hills home, “El Dorado Meadow,” before saying goodbye to the property that had long served as the backdrop for their lives on camera.
“Your dad and I bought this house many years ago, and I think one person isn’t here that should be here to say goodbye with us,” Kris told the family before Caitlyn made her surprise entrance.
The emotional reunion brought a sense of closure to a family that has lived much of its history — good and bad — in front of the world.
“It’s only right for Caitlyn to be here tonight too, because she actually was part of all those amazing memories,” Kris said. “It wasn’t just my house — it was our house.”
For fans who have followed the Jenners and Kardashians for nearly two decades, the moment was a rare reminder of how far they’ve come — and how, despite everything, family remains at the center of their story.
