A University of North Texas Student Was Killed By A Police Officer

Ryan McMillan is a student of University of North Texas, He was shoot and killed Sunday morning by a campus police office.  UNT police department indicated that Ryan was out drinking the night before this 21st birthday .




People living in an apartment complex called the police complaining Ryan is vandalizing car windshield of parked cars.

"When the police officer got here, he saw a suspect who had a hatchet and the suspect advanced on him and so he fired at the suspect in response,” said Margarita Venegas, the UNT campus spokesperson.

The officer involved in the shooting death of Ryan McMillan was not hurt and is on leave while investigation is ongoing.
