Blaise Aliyu, a student at Air Force Comprehensive School in Kaduna, has died allegedly due to a punishment inflicted by two senior students.
Orphaned since 2013, the 15-year-old was reportedly summoned to the seniors' room under the guise of punishment, which tragically resulted in his death. His body has been taken to the mortuary. He is survived by his twin brother, who also attends the same school.
Nigerian Airforce spokesperson, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, expressed sorrow over the incident and confirmed that an investigation is underway. In a statement released on Saturday, June 22, Gabkwet said: "We are deeply saddened by the incident and are conducting a thorough investigation."
