Baby Girl Fatally Bitten to death by Family Dog


 A tragic incident unfolded in Coventry as a baby girl lost her life after being bitten by her family's pet dog. West Midlands Police responded swiftly to the distress call, finding the seven-month-old with severe head injuries. Despite efforts to save her, the infant did not survive.

The dog involved, not categorized as a dangerous breed, was euthanized. Detectives are now probing the distressing incident, which occurred on June 16 in the Coundon area.

According to a police spokesperson, the baby sustained serious head injuries from the family dog, prompting emergency medical intervention. Despite receiving immediate care from paramedics, the child tragically passed away shortly after.

The police expressed condolences to the grieving family and confirmed the humane destruction of the dog. Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with relevant information is urged to contact authorities.

West Midlands Ambulance Service also responded to the distress call, dispatching multiple units to the scene. Despite their efforts, the child was transported to the hospital but could not be saved.
