The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, has initiated the commencement of the construction of Gusau International Airport in Zamfara State, with an allocated budget of N62 billion.
During the inauguration of the project, the minister hailed it as a significant development not only for Zamfara State but for the entire nation. He emphasized that the airport would boost agricultural and commercial activities in the region.
Keyamo assured that the technical team is diligently working to ensure the project's successful implementation. He also pledged the Federal Government's full support and commitment to the airport's construction.
Governor Dauda Lawal, in his remarks, affirmed the government's dedication to ensuring the timely completion of the airport within the agreed-upon timeframe of 32 months. He highlighted the anticipated benefits of the project, including job creation and poverty alleviation, both locally and nationally.
