Filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has urged women to avoid becoming "victims in Nigeria" through a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram page. Njoku emphasized that when women suffer, even to the point of death, they are often blamed and made to feel as though it was their fault.
Her comments came in response to the recent news about two friends who traveled from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to Aba, Abia State, to meet a man they had connected with on Facebook. The women have been missing since the trip, and the man, suspected of being an organ harvester, was killed while trying to evade arrest.
Njoku's post is a poignant reminder for women to prioritize their safety and be cautious in their interactions.
