Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has vowed to lead with integrity and prioritize the welfare of the people, assuring that his administration will be guided by the fear of God to bring pride to the residents of Rivers State.
Speaking during a baby dedication ceremony for the family of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wordu at the Royal House of Grace International Church in Rumueme Community, Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, on Sunday, Governor Fubara emphasized his commitment to serving with humility and accountability.
"I see myself as a guardian, entrusted by the grace of God to oversee the affairs of this state. My role is not to control but to oversee, and I will do so with reverence for God," he stated. "I understand that one day, I will be called to account for my stewardship, and I intend to do so with integrity."
Governor Fubara reiterated his dedication to servant leadership, highlighting his intention to provide equal opportunities for all residents of Rivers State.
"I am not driven by a desire for power, but by a sense of responsibility to serve. I will lead with humility, knowing that my time in office is temporary, and I will work tirelessly to make every citizen proud," he affirmed.
The governor expressed gratitude to the church for their unwavering prayers and support, acknowledging the role of divine intervention in the success of his administration.
"I am thankful for the prayers of this church, which have strengthened me and empowered me to implement impactful policies for the benefit of our people," he remarked. "With God's guidance, we will continue to progress and prosper as a state."
Governor Fubara concluded by emphasizing the supremacy of God's will and the need for continued reliance on divine guidance in the governance of Rivers State.
