Inter Miami and Argentina star Lionel Messi has revealed that he doesn't intend to retire from football anytime soon.
The legendary player, who will turn 37 on June 24, mentioned that Major League Soccer club Inter Miami will be his last team. However, he hasn't decided on a retirement date yet.
"I’ve been playing football my whole life; I love the game. I enjoy training, the daily routine, and the matches. There's a bit of fear about it all ending—it's always there. Moving from Europe to Miami was a tough decision," Messi shared in an interview with ESPN Argentina on Wednesday, June 12.
"Winning the World Cup made a big difference, giving me a new perspective. But I try not to dwell on it. Instead, I focus on enjoying the moment. I’m more conscious now that there’s not much time left.
"I’m having a great time with the club, fortunate to have good teammates and friends around me. I also enjoy my time with the national team, where I have many close friends.
"I cherish those little moments, knowing I'll miss them when I stop playing."
