President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of Mr. Tanimu Yakubu as the new Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation, following the conclusion of Mr. Ben Akabueze's tenure.
Tinubu's spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, revealed in a statement that Yakubu, an accomplished economist, previously served as the Chief Economic Adviser to late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua from 2007 to 2010.
Additionally, Yakubu held the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria between 2003 and 2007.
Expressing gratitude, Tinubu extended appreciation to the outgoing director-general for his dedicated service, and conveyed best wishes for his future endeavors.
