The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has congratulated Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade on being named Atletico Madrid’s Player of the Season.
Ajibade was honored as Atletico Madrid's best player for the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, having scored 10 goals and provided five assists throughout the campaign. Her decisive goal on the final day against Villarreal secured Atletico's qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League final.
“Rasheedat has always exemplified the qualities of a star in any field. She is an epitome of discipline and dedication and has carried the Super Falcons with patriotism and ambition,” said Secretary General Mohammed Sanusi to thenff.com.
“We congratulate and commend her for this rare honor, and we believe this recognition will motivate her further to lead the Super Falcons to glory at the forthcoming Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France.”
Ajibade is set to lead the Super Falcons in their quest for a podium finish at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
