Return Trips for Lagos State Pilgrims Following Holy Pilgrimage

The Lagos State Pilgrims Welfare Board has completed preparations for the return journeys of the 1,869 pilgrims who participated in this year's Holy pilgrimage through the state.

During an interaction with the pilgrims in Makkah, the Amir-ul-Hajj and Honorable Commissioner for Home Affairs, Honorable Olanrewaju Ibrahim Layode, announced that 188 pilgrims, including seniors, individuals with health concerns, and the 'Lagos International Pilgrims' from the USA and Europe, would depart on Sunday, June 23, alongside Kebbi State pilgrims.

Layode emphasized that the full flight schedule for the state would continue on Monday, June 24, with the second batch, operating on a 'first-in, first-out' basis. He clarified that there would be no preferential treatment for any pilgrims unless circumstances dictate otherwise. This arrangement would persist until all pilgrims are safely airlifted back home.
