In a star-studded event, Afrobeats sensation Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, delivered a captivating performance of his hit song "Calm Down" at the high-profile wedding of Anant Ambani, son of Asia's wealthiest man Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of pharmaceutical magnates Viren and Shaila Merchant.
The performance, which took place on July 12 at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai, was part of a four-day wedding extravaganza. MAVIN Records, Rema's record label, shared a video of the performance on X.com on Friday.
According to the Hindustan Times, Rema was compensated $3 million for his performance. The event also featured other global superstars, including Justin Bieber, who reportedly earned $10 million for his appearance, and Rihanna, whose fee remains undisclosed.
The wedding, the culmination of a series of extravagant parties hosted by the Ambani family since March, attracted a host of celebrities and dignitaries. Among the notable attendees were Kim Kardashian, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, and former US Secretary of State John Kerry.
