Chris Brown Sued for $15 Million by Security Guard Over Alleged Assault

American singer Chris Brown is facing a $15 million lawsuit filed by security guard Frederick R. Overpeck, who claims he sustained neck and hip injuries while intervening in a brawl at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

According to TMZ, Overpeck, 58, was working as a security guard in the backstage area during a meet-and-greet on July 20 when the altercation occurred. Overpeck's lawsuit supports a previous $50 million claim filed by four plaintiffs who allege they were assaulted by Brown and his associates.

The earlier lawsuit, filed earlier this week, named Brown, Dallas-based rapper Yella Beezy, and Live Nation as defendants. The plaintiffs—Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell—assert that the incident took place after Brown’s concert and involved a violent attack instigated by the singer.

Overpeck's legal filing describes the brawl as a "prison yard beatdown," claiming he was punched and kicked by Brown's entourage while trying to break up the fight. Overpeck states he did not recognize Brown at the time and was left with cracked vertebrae in his neck and a severely injured hip.

The plaintiffs' earlier legal documents describe a chaotic scene where Brown, upon arriving in the VIP area, was allegedly provoked into a physical confrontation. Charles Bush, one of the plaintiffs, reported that after greeting Brown, he was attacked following a suggestion from one of Brown's associates that they had a past dispute. Brown allegedly directed his crew to assault Bush, while other members of the entourage targeted Larry Parker, who was reportedly beaten for over 10 minutes.

The four plaintiffs claim they sought medical attention for their injuries and allege that Brown encouraged and participated in the assault.
