Donald Trump Blames Biden Administration for Russia-Ukraine War, Promises to Resolve Global Conflicts

At the Republican National Convention on Wednesday, Donald Trump, the GOP's 2024 presidential candidate, accused the Biden administration of instigating the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Trump pledged that, if re-elected, he would resolve all global conflicts, including the war between Russia and Ukraine, which he claimed would not have occurred under his presidency.

During his speech, Trump criticized the current administration's handling of international affairs and promised to bring an end to every conflict that he believes has been exacerbated or created by President Joe Biden’s policies. "I will end every single international crisis that the current administration has created, including the horrible war with Russia and Ukraine, which would have never happened if I was president," Trump asserted.

The former president also hinted at a potential new diplomatic move, suggesting that he might soon reestablish communication with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. According to sources cited by Reuters, discussions about a phone call between Trump and Zelenskiy are underway, with a conversation possibly taking place as early as Friday. The two leaders have not spoken since Trump left office in January 2021.

Trump’s statements reflect his broader campaign strategy, which includes a focus on foreign policy and criticism of the current administration's approach to international relations. His pledge to address global conflicts is likely to be a central theme in his bid for the presidency.
