NDLEA Arrests Two Nigerians for Cocaine Trafficking at Murtala Muhammed International Airport


 Two Nigerian individuals, identified as Aikhomoun Daniel (also known as Oladapo Olanrewaju) and Ayigoro Waheed Omobolaji, were apprehended at Murtala Muhammed International Airport for trafficking cocaine. They were arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Friday, June 21, 2024.

Femi Babafemi, spokesperson for the NDLEA, disclosed in a statement on Sunday that the duo were intercepted while attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight bound for Doha. They were apprehended at the screening point of terminal 2 after testing positive for ingesting illicit substances.

Babafemi further stated that Aikhomoun and Ayigoro were placed under observatory custody. "Daniel expelled a total of 90 wraps of cocaine, weighing 1.022kg in six instances, while Ayigoro discharged 60 wraps of the same Class A substance, totaling 662 grams in five occurrences," he explained.
