Selena Gomez has secured her first Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Mabel in "Only Murders in the Building." This marks a significant milestone in Gomez's career, showcasing her talent and versatility as an actress. Additionally, Gomez has been recognized as the most Emmy-nominated Latina producer, with her show "Only Murders in the Building" receiving a nomination for Best Comedy Series. Her previous nominations include two group Emmy nods for Outstanding Comedy Series in the 2022-2023 cycle as an executive producer.
In other highlights, the comedy series "The Bear" has set a new record with 23 nominations, surpassing the previous record of 22 held by "30 Rock" in 2009. Meanwhile, the drama series "Shogun" led this year’s Drama category with an impressive 25 nominations.
Nigerian-American actress Ayo Edebiri has also been nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in "The Bear." She joins a competitive category that includes Quinta Brunson, Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig, Jean Smart, and Selena Gomez.
