Candace Owens has fired back at Eminem after he released a diss track targeting her on his latest album. Owens dismissed Eminem's lyrics as "lame" and accused him of trying to gain favor with Black audiences.
Speaking on "The TMZ Podcast" episode on Friday, Owens addressed Eminem's lyrics from his album "Death of Slim Shady (Coup de GrĂ¢ce)." In the track "Lucifer," Eminem raps:
"And Candace O, I ain't mad at her / I ain't gon' throw the fact bitch forgot she was Black back at her / Laugh at her, like them crackers / She's backin' after / Her back is turnin', a cute MAGA hat with her 'White Lives Matter' shirt."
He goes on to refer to Owens as "MAGA dirt bag in a skirt" and uses derogatory terms like "Grand Wizard" and "Grand Dragon" to describe her.
In response, Owens characterized the song as laughable and criticized Eminem for being disconnected from reality. She suggested that Eminem's targeting of her was driven by his desire to appear authentic to Black audiences, especially in light of her support for Donald Trump.
"Eminem is past his prime and struggling to stay relevant," Owens asserted. "Attacking me is just a desperate attempt to pander to his fans." She remained steadfast, stating that Eminem's efforts to discredit her only underscore his own desperation to remain in the public eye.
