Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is on the verge of becoming one of the highest-paid Nigerian footballers with a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) this summer.
According to GFNI, PSG has shown significant interest in the player and has offered him a substantial contract. The proposed deal would see Lookman earning €4.5 million per season, a considerable increase from his current €1.8 million per season with Atalanta.
Lookman, who recently asked to be excluded from the squad for their match against Lecce, is enthusiastic about the move to the Ligue 1 champions. While PSG has yet to make direct contact with Atalanta or submit a formal bid, they have reached out to Lookman's representatives, indicating serious intent.
Atalanta is reportedly demanding a transfer fee of around €40 million for the former Fulham star. If the deal goes through, it will not only enhance Lookman's career but also position him among the top-earning Nigerian footballers globally.
