NNPCL Appeals for Patience Amid Ongoing Fuel Scarcity

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has urged Nigerians to exercise patience as the country grapples with ongoing fuel scarcity. In a statement released on Monday, NNPCL's spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, announced that the company recorded a profit of N3.3 trillion for the year 2023, according to its audited financial statement.

Addressing the fuel shortages in Lagos, Abuja, and other cities, Dapo Segun, Executive Vice President of Downstream Operations, assured the public that NNPCL is actively collaborating with relevant stakeholders to resolve the distribution and logistics challenges at the heart of the current fuel scarcity.

The company also highlighted its financial performance, noting that the 2023 profit marks an increase of over N700 billion, or 28 percent, compared to the N2.548 trillion profit reported in 2022.

Earlier reports by DAILY POST confirmed NNPCL's declaration of the N3.3 trillion profit for 2023, underscoring the company's significant financial growth despite ongoing challenges in fuel supply.
