Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci has expressed his belief that Donald Trump will lose to Kamala Harris in the upcoming U.S. Presidential election in November. Scaramucci, who briefly served as Press Secretary under Trump in 2017, has since turned against the former president and shared his insights during an interview on Sunday.
Speaking on Fox 5 DC, Scaramucci stated, "I predict he's gonna lose because he's getting boring. He's getting old. He's getting tired." He acknowledged that Trump remains a strong candidate but emphasized that the American electorate has changed significantly since Trump's unexpected victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Scaramucci pointed out the demographic shift, noting, "The electorate has changed since 2016. We've lost over 20 million baby boomers since 2016. At the same time, Generation Z has come into the fold to the tune of 40 million. So that's been a big mixture of lower-aged voters into the mix. And they seem interested in politics."
Veteran Fox News analyst Brit Hume also weighed in, discussing a recent poll showing that 65% of Americans are dissatisfied with the state of the country. When asked why Trump appears to be losing ground in polls to Harris, Hume responded, "Because he's Trump." He added, "When you get down to it, the past eight to 10 years have been about Donald Trump. Everything has been about Donald Trump."
Hume highlighted that while Trump has a devoted base of supporters, it does not constitute a majority of voters. He remarked, "Donald Trump, no matter how enthusiastic his supporters are, nonetheless, is not a majority candidate. He might win, but he's not a majority candidate."
According to the latest polling average from Real Clear Politics, Kamala Harris currently holds a 1.4 percent lead over Trump, further fueling concerns among Republicans about the direction of Trump's campaign.
