Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas has addressed his recent dismissal from the BBC following allegations of inappropriate behavior. Jenas, who has been a regular on "Match of The Day" and "The One Show," was let go after accusations surfaced that he had sent unsolicited text messages to a female colleague on "The One Show."
In an interview with talkSPORT on Thursday, August 22, Jenas expressed his frustration with the situation but remained tight-lipped about the details. "I can’t really talk about it. As you can probably see, I’m not happy about it," he stated. Jenas emphasized that his legal team is handling the matter, adding, "There are two sides to every story, as we know. That’s all I can say right now."
When pressed further about the allegations, Jenas reiterated his dissatisfaction with the outcome but declined to provide additional details. "I’m going to speak to my lawyers about this situation," he said. "I’m not happy at all about the outcome, but I’ve got to leave it in the hands of the lawyers right now."
Jenas, who earned 21 caps for England and had a notable career in the Premier League with Tottenham, Nottingham Forest, and Newcastle, was also asked about his future in sports broadcasting. However, he refused to comment, stating, "I can’t talk about that right now."
As the situation unfolds, Jenas remains focused on seeking legal advice and has refrained from making any further public statements on the matter.
