Singer Cassie was seen enjoying a laid-back afternoon in New York City on Wednesday, September 18, dining outdoors at the popular restaurant "Left Bank." Cassie appeared relaxed and cheerful as she spent time with friends, a stark contrast to the current situation of her ex, Diddy, who remains in custody at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) after being denied bail earlier the same day.
Cassie seemed in high spirits during the outing, at one point sharing something on her phone with her companions. Given the timing, it’s possible Diddy's legal woes were part of the conversation. The music mogul is facing serious charges, with a judge denying him bail over allegations tied to past misconduct, including a 2016 incident involving Cassie.
In court, Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson presented hotel surveillance footage from a 2016 "Freak Off" party, where Diddy allegedly coerced a woman into a compromising situation. Although Cassie was not directly named in the footage, the prosecutor used the event to support claims that Diddy poses a risk, describing his involvement with sex workers as just the "tip of the iceberg."
After the bail denial, Diddy returned to MDC Brooklyn, where his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, criticized the facility’s "inhumane" conditions. Meanwhile, Cassie seems to be focusing on moving forward with her life as Diddy’s legal challenges continue to mount.
