Deji Adeyanju, the legal counsel for social activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), has refuted allegations that his client defamed renowned lawyer, Femi Falana.
In a statement released earlier tonight, Adeyanju clarified that VDM did not intend to defame Falana but instead shared the communication to prompt relevant authorities, including Falana himself, to investigate claims made by Bobrisky in a voice recording.
The recording in question featured Bobrisky alleging that Falana was assisting in securing a presidential pardon and had requested 10 million Naira to finalize the arrangement.
Adeyanju emphasized that VDM's actions were motivated by a desire for transparency, not to tarnish Falana's reputation.
