Gunfire was reported at a campaign office for U.S. presidential nominee Kamala Harris in Tempe, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. The incident, which occurred just after midnight on Monday, caused damage to the building and windows, but no injuries were reported.
Tempe police responded quickly to the scene, confirming that several bullets had hit the office. This is the second shooting targeting the same office in recent weeks, following a previous incident on September 16, when rounds from a pellet or BB gun were fired at the building.
Sean McEnerney, campaign manager for the Arizona Democratic Party, expressed gratitude to local law enforcement for their swift action, noting that no one was in the office at the time of the shooting. "We are fortunate no one was present or injured," McEnerney said in a statement.
The attack comes just days before Kamala Harris is scheduled to visit Arizona as part of her presidential campaign. Authorities are actively investigating the situation.
This incident follows another recent attack on a political figure, with an attempted shooting targeting former U.S. President Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course on September 15.
