Arsenal legend Paul Merson has issued a warning to defenders William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães as they prepare for their Premier League showdown against Manchester City this weekend.
The two teams will face off at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, with Man City's star striker Erling Haaland in top form.
Merson cautioned the Arsenal defenders to stay alert while marking Haaland, emphasizing that any lapse in concentration could prove costly. "Gabriel and Saliba will want to go up against Haaland, someone who will challenge them physically," Merson told Sky Sports. "But if they fall asleep, Haaland will score, and that could decide the game."
Haaland, who is currently the Premier League's leading scorer this season, has already netted nine goals for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The upcoming match promises to be a crucial test for Arsenal as they look to contain City's lethal striker.
