Portugal is preparing to release a new Euro coin to honor the legendary footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo. The special edition coin recognizes the 39-year-old's remarkable achievements for both his country and various top football clubs throughout his illustrious career.
According to reports by journalist Carol Radull, the move celebrates Ronaldo's outstanding contributions to the sport. Having made a name for himself at Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, Ronaldo is currently transforming the football scene in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo holds the record as the top scorer in men’s international football, having netted 132 goals for Portugal in 214 appearances. He played a crucial role in Portugal's victory at the UEFA Euro 2016 and helped secure the UEFA Nations League title in 2019.
In addition to his on-field success, Ronaldo recently became the first person to surpass 1 billion followers across various social media platforms. He has also crossed the 900-goal mark in his career, showing no signs of slowing down.
