UFC fighter Israel Adesanya has boldly placed a N16.45 million ($10,000) bet on British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua to defeat Daniel Dubois in their upcoming IBF world heavyweight title fight.
Dubois, who was initially the interim IBF champion, was promoted to full champion in June 2024 after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the belt. On Saturday, he will face Joshua in what will be Joshua's 13th world title fight. A win could potentially set up a future match between Joshua and the winner of Usyk vs. Fury 2 next year.
Adesanya, popularly known as "The Last Stylebender," took to Instagram to share an image of himself with Joshua, captioned, “OGUN!! This fight got beef… grab the @stake sauce.” He also posted a screenshot of his $10,000 bet, with an estimated payout of $50,000. However, the bet will only be successful if Joshua defeats Dubois between the 10th and 12th rounds.
The fight is highly anticipated, with fans eager to see if Adesanya’s confidence in Joshua pays off.
