Air Peace has addressed reports regarding fraud charges filed by the U.S. Department of Justice against its Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema, and the airline’s Chief of Finance and Administration, Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha.
In a statement released on Sunday, the airline acknowledged the legal proceedings and reassured the public that it is closely following the developments. The charges stem from earlier financial misconduct accusations dating back several years. The airline emphasized that the recent charges are part of an ongoing legal process, and they remain allegations, as the case is still in court.
The statement highlighted that the airline’s legal team is actively involved in the case and working diligently to ensure a fair outcome. Air Peace expressed confidence that through due legal proceedings, the truth will be revealed, and both Onyema and Eghagha will be exonerated.
Air Peace reassured the public that Onyema and his legal team have been cooperating with authorities throughout the investigation. The airline also confirmed that its operations continue without interruption, maintaining its commitment to safety, reliability, and excellent service.
"These legal proceedings will not affect the airline's daily operations or the quality of service we provide to our valued customers," the statement concluded.
